2nd Alarm, Walnutport PA

Just after 22:15, Lehigh County received multiple calls and a police transmission of a house fire at 302 Main St. in the borough. County Dispatch signaled stations 29, 24 & Lehigh Twp. Northampton County #47 to the address. Chief 29 (Kirchner) arrived quickly and reported a working fire in a two-story S/F/D and struck the 2nd alarm.

Rescue 29 arrived and made an aggressive attack on the fire located on the first floor and darkened down the fire until other units arrived. Over 7 companies were called to assist. Palmerton of Carbon County was also on the scene. Coplay Air 5 was on location to fill spent air bottles.

The fire was place under control by Chief 29 at 23:19 hours.
