News Article: Allentown firefighters responded to 651 Washington St. for a reported Apartment Fire around 10:00 pm Monday night. When AFD arrived on scene they found a garage on fire attached to an apartment building. Crews began attack on the blaze which extended into the building and a 2nd alarm was transmitted for more manpower. Engines 13 and 14 responded on the 2nd alarm.

Personal Experience: I wasn't able to respond right away when this call came in. When I arrived on scene there was smoke coming out the garage area and some from the apartment building. Engines 13 and 14 of the 2nd alarm were just arriving on scene. Talking to some witnesses at the scene they told me that the fire was in the garage area but that it also extended into the building attached to it. There was also some confusion where the fire was and AFD was sent a block away but witnesses flagged AFD down and showed them where the fire actually was which is the address of 651 Washington St.
