We have used triple lays that work much faster. Off the truck on air, no kinks, with water in under 30 seconds. But this hose load is being used by more dept's. First scene it 5 years ago. Back then it was used allot as a protection line on wildland fires.

We did a test/race but did not record it, the bundle method was faster and easier to advance. Each back up man grabs a couple loops and goes in. But with anything theres times its beneficial to use this and not.. suggest to try it at your next training you'll be surprised how easy it is. Just another tool for your tool box.
