Vehicle Accident with a Door Pop Westernport Road
Vehicle Accident on Westernport Road just inside Garrett County. Call originally was dispatched for Route 36 between Westernport and Barton. Squad 22 responded with 5 volunteers and the Chief responded to the scene. The caller was not familiar with the area. The vehicle struck a large boulder along the roadway in a curve. The passenger was still inside the vehicle upon the Squad's arrival. The passenger side door was removed to gain access to the patient. The Squad crew removed the door and allowed EMS to backboard the injured subject. Both the driver and passenger were transported to an area Trauma Center by ambulances.
